Th 5/11 or Fr 5/12 Scrappy Birds are a fun way to use small pieces of discarded glass and make a fun, quirky stained glass ornament for a windowsill or shelf that needs some fun. We will teach you everything you need to know to make your very own one-of-a-kind Fowl Friend from cutting and grinding, to foiling, and then soldering them together with pre-made feet, feathers, and curly-cues. $35 per person. Th 5/25 or Fri 5/26 Who hasn't spent a pleasant se side afternoon strolling the beach and picking up wave tumbled sea glass pieces. (In my family it was a competition sport!) Bring back those memories with your very own Sea Glass Suncatcher. Using your own collection, of some of our sea glass we will teach you to wrap each piece in copper foil tape, and solder them together to make a lacy summer dream filled ornament perfect of decorating or gift giving. $35 per person. Leaded Glass 101
3 Wednesdays 5/24, 5/31, and 6/7 6:30P-9P
If you have been telling yourself for a while now "I really should learn how to make leaded glass"-this is your chance! We will teach the the basics of traditional method of stained glass construction. In the first class you will learn the difference in cutting for lead and foil as you gut and grind your small panel, and we will discuss different lay out methods. In the second class we will "lead up" the window and and introduce the various tools needed. The final class is the whys and hows of "mudding" the panel (also known as cementing or puttying) and cleaning methods.
This is not a "beginner" class and does require glass cutting knowledge.
$125 per person.* Materials and Use of all tools included.

Glass Etching 101 Thur. 6/1 or Friday 6/2 Learn a new skill and a new dimension to your glasswork repertoire. Turn dollar store glasses into one of a kind gifts. Add special touches to glass ornaments. Create one of a kind glass art! 3 types of glass etching are covered: sandblasting, acid etching, and hand engraving. Learn to cut stencils like a pro! We will make 2 projects in class- a suncatcher and a piece of glassware(several to choose from). $45 per person. Heavenly Messenger
Suncatchers Thur. 6/15 or Fri. 6/16 Many cultures have imagery of the departed visiting from Heaven. In this class we will make suncatchers evoking those ambassadors. Make a cardinal, butterfly, or dragonfly in remembrance of lost loved ones. No experience is necessary. We will teach you everything you need to know. $35 per person. Taught by a glass artist with 39 years experience you will learn to construct stained glass in the copper foil (Tiffany) method. Learn cutting and shaping glass, applying copper foil, proper soldering techniques, and studio safety by making a small stained glass window panel (approx. 8"x10"). There are 6 designs to choose from (Abstract, Victorian Flower, Sunrise, Quilt Heart, Modern Floral, Contemporary Bird) and materials and use of all tools are included in the course fee.

Open Studio Hours
(Some experience required)
Open Studio Hours gives intermediate to advanced glass workers bench space, use of all studio tools and equipment (including glass saws and drills), and expert advice from a 39 year professional stained glass artist. Meet up with friends, or just get out of the house to pursue your bliss. Storage for projects and tools available.
NEW -10% discount on purchases of supplies (glass, foil, solder, etc.) made while attending Open Studio.
Project Packs $10 each. Each pack contains enough material to make 2-3 average suncatchers: 3 Yards 1/4" or 7/32" copper foil, 1 Yard 60/40 solder, and 1 pound scrap glass of your choice.

*Class Cancellation Policy
If Barbara Connors' Art Glass cancels a class for any reason registered students will be offered the choice of a refund on the class fees, or transferring the fees to another class within 12 months.
If a student cancels their participation in class with 24 hours or more prior notification students will be offered the choice of a refund on the class fees, or transferring the fees to another class within 12 months.
Students who notify Barbara Connors Art Glass with less than 24 hours notice, or who are "No -shows" will not be offered refunds or class transfers.
