Patriotic Suncatcher
6/30 or 7/1 In this 2 1/2-3 hour class you will learn to cut and shape stained glass into a beautiful design. You will then learn to wrap each piece in copper foil, then solder them together. When you are done you will have mad a beautiful Patriotic Suncatcher perfect for decorating or gift giving. $30 per person. All tools and materials included. Please Note: Ages 13 and up only please. Thursday 7/7 or Friday 7/8 6:30P - 9:30P Create your very own 3D Fantasy Creature. We will teach you everything you need to know to make beautiful multi piece stained glass wings, the attach them to a pre cast fairy or dragon body. Thursday 7/14 or Friday 7/15 6:30P-9:30P Choose from 6 different suncatcher designs (Sailboat, Pet Paw, Goofy Bird, Gnome, Dragonfly, Butterfly) then we will teach you the basics of Tiffany Style (copper foil) stained glass: cutting, grinding, foiling and soldering. ![]() 2 Night Stained Glass Kaleidoscope Class
2 Thursdays 7/21&28 or 2 Fridays 7/22&29 6:30P-9:30P Remember playing with these as a child? Chips of colored glass making ever changing whirling images? You can make and sophisticated stained glass version in this 2 night class (2 Thursdays or 2 Fridays). On night one we will cut, and assemble the body of the Scope. On night 2 we will make either 2 image wheels or an image box filled with glass chips, beads, stones etc. that will make the spinning images for hours of fascination! This NOT a "first time" class. Some stained glass experience is required to allow the completion of each step in the time allotted. $70 per person. All tools and materials included. Please Note: Ages 13 and up only please. Leaded Glass 101
3 Saturdays starting 7/16 10:30A-1Pm
If your have always made copper foiled glass project, but thought you would like to learn the traditional leading method this is the class for you. In this 3 week mini course we will discuss the differences in construction and cutting for lead and copper foil, the strengths and weakness of each method. In Week one you will cut and grind a small leaded glass panel. In Week 2 you will learn how to stretch lead, cut it to the appropriate length including angles, and assemble glass into the. lead channels. Week 3 will cover the difference in soldering lead and copper foil, and the process for cleaning and "cementing" a leaded window.

8 Week Beginners Course

If you ever wanted to learn the art of making beautiful pictures in colored glass this is the course for you. Taught by a glass artist with 38 years experience you will learn to construct stained glass in the copper foil (Tiffany) method. Covered topics include stained glass types, cutting and shaping glass, applying copper foil, proper soldering techniques, and studio safety. Students will start by making a suncatcher in their very first class. In subsequent classes they will make a small stained glass panel, and practice 3D techniques by making a jewelry box. A student's choice project with instructor assistance will finish out the course. Use of all studio equipment (cutters, pliers, grinders, etc.) throughout the course and materials for the first project are included in the course fee. Consumables (glass, foil, solder, chemicals) for all other projects must be purchased by the student (average cost $80-120 depending on glass chosen).

Open Studio Hours gives intermediate to advanced glass workers bench space, use of all studio tools and equipment (including glass saws and drills), and expert advice from a 38 year professional stained glass artist. Meet up with friends, or just get out of the house to pursue your bliss. Storage for projects and tools available.
