All supplies and tools included (unless otherwise noted).

Classes are limited to 6 students.
Ages 13 and up only please unless noted.

​Classroom  Rules: 
No shorts, or open toed shoes. 
No Food allowed. Non-alcoholic drinks are allowed in closed top containers only.
​Safety Glasses are required. We provide them, but if you have your own you are welcome to bring them. 

Stained glass is not an appropriate activity for pregnant women.​

3D Garden Friends
Thurs. 1/7 or Fri. 1/8 6:30P

Pick a pre cast metal body (Butterfly, dragonfly, or bee) and let us take you step by step through making beautiful stained glass wing to attach to your garden friend. Once they have wings we will add rings to hang them from, or a stake to add them to your plants. When you leave this 3 hour class you will have made your own one-of-a -kind Garden Friend perfect for decorating or gift giving.

Stained Glass Feathers

"When a feather appears a loved one is near" goes the old saying. No experience necessary! We will teach you step-by-step the art of Tiffany-Style (copper foil) stained glass. Whey you leave this  3 hour class you will have made a unique suncatcher, that is perhaps a reminder of a lost loved one.

Every culture has traditions of visitors from heaven. Pick your favorite (Angel, butterfly, dragonfly, or Cardinal) and and we will help you make a beautiful stained glass representation of divine visits. No experience necessary. We will take you step by step through the whole process.

Fused Glass Jewelry

Just in time for Valentines Day! Hand make unique jewelry for gift giving or for yourself while learning about the fascinating art of glass fusion (melting at temps over 1400F). Students will use a variety of glass and embellishments to make one-of-a-king pendants and earrings, most people make 3-4 pieces in class, while getting a small science lesson in the weird world of glass melting. (It's more fun than high school chemistry-I promise! )

Make  unique home for these easy to care for plants. We will teach you to cut, grind, foil, and solder beautiful stained glass pieces into  a treasure sure to brighten any window it hangs in. We even include an air plant to get you started.

Fused Glass Mandala

A mandala is a kind of a visual meditation. In this fusing class you will make a 4" round glass mandala using various types of embellishments, and glass bits while learning the art and science of glass fusing (melting glass at temperatures over 1300F). When you leave this 2 1/2 hour class you will have made a one-of-a-kind expression of inner peace.
Due to the long fusing time mandalas will be available for pick up in one week's time. 

$60 per person* Ages 7 and up when accompanied by a participating adult.  No shorts or open toed shoes.

8 Week Beginner Class

If you ever wanted to learn the art of Tiffany-style (copper foil method) stained glass this is the class for you! In this 8 session structured class you will learn to cut glass, shape it with a diamond grinder, apply copper foil, and solder the pieces together. Other topics covered include studio safety, types of glass, and tricks of the trade for a more professional product. 4 projects are created over the 8 weeks (a suncatcher, a small window, a jewelry box, and a student's choice project). Materials for the first project (suncatcher) are included. Other materials are the student's responsibility (usually run around $150 depending on the glass picked).

3 Week 
Leaded Glass 101*
Thursdays 3/12, 3/19, 3/26 6:30P

You have mastered the coper foil technique of stained glass, but now you want to explore the older tradition of leaded glass construction. In this 3 week class we will explore the difference in the two techniques. Week 1: We will cut out a small panel while learning how cutting for lead is different than for foil. Week 2:  We will "lead up" the panel learning to measure and cut lead with different cutting tools. Week 3: We will learn the differences in soldering for lead and foil, and learn different ways to  mud the panel, including the difference between cement and putty, and when to use each.  When you are done with this 3 week class you will have made your first traditional leaded glass window. All materials and use of needed tools included.

You've seen them in your glass groups, and on-line shops and thought "I could never"...but YES YOU CAN!  Guest instructor Zach Duggan has made many unique 3D Orchids.  Using pre-cut parts, and step by step instructions Zach will show us how to assemble glass piece into beautiful orchid sculpture that will bloom forever.  You will leave this class with the skill to make the beautiful forever plants that make the perfect gift for so many occasions. Please note while there is no cutting involved in this class, it does require more than beginner glass making skills.

                                                          (Some experience required)
Open Studio Hours gives intermediate to advanced glass workers bench space, use of all studio tools and equipment (including glass saws, sand blaster, and drills), and expert advice from a 40+ year professional stained glass artist.   Meet up with friends, or just get out of the house to pursue your bliss. Storage for projects and tools available.

10%  discount on purchases of supplies (glass, foil, solder, etc.) made while attending Open Studio.

Project Packs $10 each.  Each pack contains enough material to make 2-3 average suncatchers:  3 Yards 1/4" or 7/32" copper foil, 1 Yard 60/40 solder, and 1 pound scrap glass of your choice.

Cost: $10/hr  (min. 2 hours) paid at the Open Studio. (Consumable supplies like glass, foil, flux, etc. are the customer's responsibility.)
*Class Cancellation Policy
If Barbara Connors' Art Glass cancels a class for any reason registered students will be offered the choice of a refund on the class fees, or transferring the fees to another class within 12 months. 

If a student cancels their participation in class with 24 hours or more prior notification students will be offered the choice of a refund on the class fees, or transferring the fees to another class within 12 months. 

​Students who notify Barbara Connors Art Glass with less than 24 hours notice, or who are "No -shows" will not be offered refunds or class transfers.
